Lord Julien's private notes
The flip side of all of this is that, while I'm picking up a lot more hours at Midsummer Nights, I've also had to take over a number of Aeryn's duties. I'm really developing an appreciation for what she does, and hope she'll be well enough to come back to work soon. Doing special orders is a bitch and a half – why can't people know what they want? I'm sorry, but I can't find the book you want by just having the picture on the cover described to me...
Eavan's taking Aeryn's injuries pretty hard; he seemed like he really needed that hug when I dropped by the hospital. Must remember to ask if Aeryn liked the flowers; she was sleeping when I visited. I tried to cheer Eavan up by telling him that Aeryn's tough, but he didn't seem too reassured. Poor kid – I think he's really got a thing for her. He certainly seems to feel protective...
That's all for now – Gordon's coming home in less than five minutes, and for once I don't have to work tonight...we're long overdue to spend some time together.
