Okay, I'll admit it -- I am a fangirl (otaku, for those of you into anime). My obsession with science fiction, fantasy, comics, and anime probably goes back to my earliest years. I have fond memories of watching episodes of Star Trek (the original series) with my father (my sister and I always enjoyed the episodes "A Piece of the Action" and "The Trouble With Tribbles"), eagerly devouring the adventures of Wonder Woman, The Avengers, and other costumed stalwarts now lost to time or cancellation, that I bought for thirty-five cents (no lie! ;-) at the local corner store, and being glued to the TV set as G-Force fought the forces of evil on Battle of the Planets or the crew of the Argo strove desperately to save the earth on Star Blazers.
Ever since then, I've had an affection for comics, anime and shows like Star Trek, Buffy, Birds of Prey, and Farscape. I also enjoy the works of authors like Marion Zimmer Bradley, Mercedes Lackey, and Jennifer Roberson.
